Pedicures and Manicures

There is nothing worse to me than a woman with chipped off nail polish and dry flaky skin on the soles of her heels.....I'm sorry, I don't mean to offend anyone but that's my pet peeve. I should say that's one of my pet peeves!

Today I had my weekly polish change and pedicure. I realize this is a bit much for most but hey, I like the feeling of clean pretty toes with fresh red polish on them.

My not so regular manicurist gives me the evil eye each time I make her put on a thick first coat. If it was up to her she would do a thin one that makes the polish look pink and it just urks me because then that's why the polish does not last long.

Ladies, it's important because when we get to be older this makes us look unkempt. At our age, 40's and up, me being a little up from 40...we should have no excuse. If it starts to chip and you cannot get to your girl...take it off yourself and always keep a pink frost at hand to tide you over til you can get there. If your toes are not looking fresh anymore....wear closed toe shoes. If you break a nail, put a band-aid to cover it until you can get it fixed! Ok, by now you all just think I'm obsessed! Well, maybe a little. Now, look at your nails right now... how do they look to you?

  1. I totally agree - nothing worse. I'd sooner see unpainted nails than chipped. Men with long fingernails also give me the creeps.

Great blog - can't wait for the next installment. BFF Laura
