Grace...

Wow! I love Paul he is so candid:

I've been reading 1 Timothy 1:15

15Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. (Ok, I can apply that to me personally)....16But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life. (He has sooo been patient with me for years!) 18Timothy, my son, I give you this instruction in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by following them you may fight the good fight, 19holding on to faith and a good conscience. (How many times do we forget who we are in Christ and what prophecies he has given to us?) Some have rejected these and so have shipwrecked their faith.(This means some of us Christians can and will reject Him) 20Among them are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan to be taught not to blaspheme. (This is scary because they will go through a season of punishment).

I want to please the Lord at all times. Do I? Probably not! Oh but His Grace....

At church we are getting ready to launch our Women's Bible study as small groups. I will be teaching one for the next 5 consecutive weeks. I've been prayerfully getting prepared and have spent time studying. Today I read all the letters Paul wrote to the churches. He blows my mind! I can't wait to meet him when I get to heaven. I think we have lots in common in the way we think! You probably do too!

I do not take this time of teaching lightly. Paul is constantly admonishing us to live a holy life. Let me tell you...one thing I do know is that if you are going to teach a study you'd better be prepared for the attack of the enemy! Well let me tell you... in the last two weeks I've been attacked from all sides. I've felt the blows coming at me and even though one knocked me down for a bit...I bounced back up the next day! I believe on Sunday night I had a breakthrough: I will tell you about that victory in my next post...stay tuned its a great one!

I'm confident this study will be GREAT! Because I'm ready! For any of you out there that are getting ready to teach a bible study. I encourage you to clear yourself of the trash that accumulates in us with our thougths, the negative words we say to ourselves and out loud to others, negative comments we write, because at the end of the day....God sees it all and his laws do not change. If you gossip....its a sin. If you hurt someone purposely...its a sin. If you write something on facebook that is negative about someone...its a sin. Nothing you can say will justify that. Our study is called "When Women Worship" we are first asked to put or Spirit back in charge to rule our life. How do we do this? You ask yourself to weigh every decision with the question, "Does this empower my flesh or does this empower my spirit? If we really want transformation in our life we need to question every decision, especially the routine ones...

Lord, forgive me of my sins....I don't ever want to be a stumbling block for anyone! Show me your ways....
